Position Details:
- Full Time
- Locations: Sherman Oaks (Pilot Program) – Potential expansion to Culver
Key Responsibilities
Referral & Intake
- Receive referrals for students at risk of chronic absenteeism.
- Conduct intakes to assess root causes, existing supports, and prior interventions.
Case Management
- Develop individualized attendance improvement plans with families and school teams.
- Coordinate with school staff and providers to align supports.
- Manage cases until attendance improves
Family & Community Engagement
- Build trusting relationships with students and families.
- Connect families to relevant resources and supports.
- Provide parent education on consistent attendance.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate case notes and records.
- Track and report measurable outcomes and productivity goals.
Collaboration & Capacity Building
- Work under Business Office guidance and partner with school staff and community organizations.
- Support interns and expand departmental capacity.
Assist with grant reporting and program documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of school operations and student support needs.
- Familiarity with community resources and supports.
- Experience working with youth and teens from diverse backgrounds.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport students using a Help Group agency vehicle.
- Willingness to travel to multiple campuses.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a “can-do” attitude, with the ability to get the job done under challenging circumstances
- Experience working with students with special needs and their families.
- Bilingual abilities

- Creative and flexible thinker who can develop solutions outside the box to achieve desired results.

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of The Help Group. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
