Responsibilities 

Assists Nuclear Technologist in daily duties including but not limited to: 

  • Retrieve patients from the testing/main lobby for completion of nuclear test as needed 
  • Assists patients off and on the nuclear camera as needed 
  • Starts IV for nuclear and echo patients as needed 
  • Collects data and information by reviewing medical history to assist the Nuclear Department in chart prep 
  • Conducts Treadmill portion of the Nuclear Stress test on an as needed basis in accordance with Southeastern Cardiology’s Nuclear Cardiology Practice Protocols 
  • Works closely with Front Office staff to ensure that patients are received timely for their appointments 
  • Maintains clinical supplies to ensure appropriate supplies are always on hand 
  • Uploads all reports into patient charts after test have been read 
  • Conducts initial chart preparation for nuclear department procedures 
  • Delivers care in accordance with the patient care plan, as well as in accordance with policies and procedures of the office 
  • Effectively and respectfully communicates with other departments of the office 
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written) as well as computer/electronic medical record systems skills 
  • Exhibit an ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting 
  • Independently completes all assignments in a timely manner 
  • Monitors/assess patients undergoing nuclear imaging procedures 
  • All other duties as assigned by management 

Requirements

Education and Qualifications 

  • Active RN license in Georgia    
  • BLS and ACLS Certifications 
  • Critical Care or Emergency Department experience- 2+ yrs preferred.
