ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you passionate about empowering and positively impacting young talent?
We are seeking enthusiastic Regional Assistant Development Coaches (RADC) across our Coates Talent League Metro Region (Boys and Girls programs). We are now actively recruiting for our 2026 pre-season starting in mid-November 2025.
The RADC is primarily responsible for supporting the Head Development Coach in the development of our Victorian Talent Pathway Players. The Victorian talent pathway provides a unique football landscape in that it has, as a primary goal, the focus of the development of individual players in the program. In the Assistant Coach role you will play a significant role in the Coates Talent League whilst developing your coaching skills.
These roles have an approximate time commitment of 10 hours per week (including match days) working either in the Coates Talent League Boys or Girls programs. Should you wish to express interest we ask for your preference in working location/s and program preference (boys/girls).

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide support to the Regional Development Coach in the planning of training and match days
- Actively drive and contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment for the players and an overall positive and respectful culture within the region
- Work with individual players to improve their fundamental skills and to provide guidance and confidence in their football careers.
- Act as a line coach and oversee the responsibilities of educating the players under your charge.
OUR IDEAL TEAM MEMBER
Core Competencies:
- Level 2 or working towards level 2 AFL Coaching accreditation
- Passionate about the individual development of talented players & yourself as a coach
- Well Developed IT skills.
- Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Sound background and knowledge of coaching principals.
- Must be able to commit to working nights and weekends
- A valid Working With Children Check is required
