About the role
WesTrac is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to join our team in Sydney!
Reporting to the Branch Manager, our Field Service Supervisor plays a pivotal role in leading a dedicated team of Field Service Plant Mechanics, with a specialised focus on CAT Marine & Industrial equipment. You will leverage your leadership experience to guide and support our team, ensuring high-quality service delivery that meets customer expectations and project timelines.
As the primary liaison between our customers and Field Service technicians, you will be responsible for the efficient coordination of all customer-related activities, including:
- Allocating labour resources to meet service demand
- Defining and managing scopes of work
- Scheduling jobs and overseeing execution
- Managing pricing and invoicing processes
This full-time, permanent role is based at our Casula branch, working 50 hours per week Monday to Friday. It offers a dynamic opportunity to lead a skilled team while driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and developing new customer contacts
- Scheduling and allocating work orders for the Field Service team
- Roster management, review and approval of timesheets
- Providing leadership to a small team of specialists focusing on marine and industrial applications
- Effectively planning labour to ensure productivity targets are achieved
- Promoting a continuous improvement approach to all areas of responsibility
- Provide technical support for the Field Service team
- Ensuring a safe work environment is maintained at all time
Skills & Experience
- Trade certified mechanic/electrician with exposure to CAT Marine products desirable
- Strong people management, mentoring and leadership capabilities
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise conflicting priorities and deadlines
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships
- Highly developed communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal)
- Intermediate computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office)
