The Financial Staff Accountant produces an accurate Balance Sheet/Income Statement and ensures it represents the company's financial position in all material respects. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account substantiations along with preparing and analyzing spreadsheets and reports. They provide regular monitoring and evaluation of varying performance strategies and industry benchmarks.
- Maintain databases by verifying data entered in the accounting system is accurate. Prepare financial statements with the appropriate supporting documentation and reports.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts and bank accounts by comparing and correcting data.
- Maintain appropriate audit documentation and assist with the completion of annual audits and achieve annual audit quality goals.
- Improve financial status by organizing data into accessible reports and analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management.
- Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications and coordinating information requirements.
