Key Responsibilities:
1. Key Responsibilities 1: Provide vocational direction and direct support to Fresh Starts janitorial crew so employees maintain employment.
So That:
- Utilize motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction models to provide direct services and service coordination.
- You assess employee needs, provide appropriate referrals, connect to area resources, and provide the appropriate level of support to each employee.
- Provide direct support including, but not limited to, independent living skills, employment assistance, and transportation for Fresh Starts employees.
- You complete regular check-ins with the employees and complete employee evaluations.
- You deliver high quality crisis intervention and seek appropriate support to assist in difficult or emergency situations.
- Work within a team of coordinators and case managers to ensure continuity of care.
2. Key Responsibility 2: Build rapport and maintain positive professional relationships with employees, contracted partners, and community partners.

3. Key Responsibility 3: Ensure Shelter House fulfills all janitorial service contract obligations.

- All contracts are satisfied with janitorial services provided.
- You provide accurate and competitive bids for janitorial services to prospective contract sites.
4. Key Responsibility 4: Record and maintain accurate documentation in a timely manner, including but not limited to, supplies ordering, services provided, case notes, Fresh Starts employee schedule, and Fresh Starts employee timesheets.

- You accurately document janitorial services provided, including missed services.
- Documentation is completed in a timely manner, including any relevant program record keeping, staff log and other agency required paperwork, including but not limited to, billing and scheduling.
5. Key Responsibility 5: Develop job related life skills in Fresh Starts employees.

- Lead groups in resume building, job searching, budgeting, career development, etc.
- Work to gain other sources of income for employees.

Reports to: Permanent Supportive Housing Program Manager
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities consistent with a Bachelor's degree in human services or related field, or three (3) years of related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with area services, community partners, and resources.
- Minimum of one (1) year direct service experience.
- Ability to act responsibly in a crisis and use good judgement.
- Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured under company insurance and reliable transportation to get to and from work shifts.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Windows applications.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to drive a 12- or 16-passenger van.
- High level of independence, ability to set priorities, problem solve, and follow through on own initiative.
Hours and Schedule:
- This a full-time, benefit eligible role
- 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM
- Some flexibility in schedule to ensure contract needs are met
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs.
- Must be able to life up to 30 pounds at times.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking around.
