Title: Environmental Engineering Intern
Primary Location: Horicon, WI
Organizational Group: Environment, Health & Safety

Your Responsibilities

 

As part of John Deere's Environmental team for JD Horicon Works located in Horicon, Wisconsin, our Environmental Interns will assist with the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and Environmental Programs that impact a manufacturing facility and support the environmental compliance aspects of the factory. Some examples of activities that can be performed:

  • Execute facility inspections to review compliance with environmental regulations and EMS requirements
  • Take ownership of environmental  program: stormwater, chemical management, wastewater, waste, etc.
  • Explore and implement waste, energy or water reduction projects
  • Explore and implement environmental risk reduction projects
  • Develop Power BI Dashboard or Power Apps

What Skills You Need

 

Basic knowledge of engineering statistics and introductory knowledge of environmental regulations 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Project Management Experience
  • Data Analysis Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI or related tools
  • Good Communication Skills 

Education

 

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering or related major
  • Minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale 

 

Must be able to relocate domestically.  Assignments can be at various locations throughout the United States
