Assembly Supervisor – 2nd Shift

About WET (Design)
WET (Design) redefines what’s possible by merging advanced engineering, art, and technology to build the world’s most spectacular water features and multi-sensory installations. Our projects demand hands-on mastery, creativity, and a passion for mechanical systems at an unprecedented scale.

Your Mission
As Assembly Production Supervisor, you’ll lead the assembly of complex, high-value mechanical systems—from large structural steel frames to custom-engineered parts, from industrial hydraulics and pipe fittings to mechatronic integrations. You’ll bring together a team of skilled builders, ensure total precision (from torque values to leak-proof seals), and drive the next generation of engineering art. If troubleshooting threads, optimizing fits, and assembling heavy, multi-material systems excites you, this role is the foundation of something legendary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee mechanical assembly of structural steel parts, hydraulic, pneumatics, pipe fittings, custom assemblies, actuators, and precision mechanical subassemblies

  • Interpret and execute mechanical drawings, assembly blueprints and schematics

  • Ensure correct selection, fitment, and torquing of fasteners, pipe fittings, couplings, seals, and gaskets using precision tools and torque wrenches

  • Supervise all stages of assembly—thread chasing, alignment, sealant application (including lock-tight/seal), pressure/leak testing, and movement/fit diagnostics

  • Coordinate and integrate electrical, optical, and control components as part of larger mechatronic assemblies

  • Train and mentor technicians on specialized mechanical techniques (hydraulic line routing, structural alignments, heavy rigging, threading, pressure/flow setup)

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to refine build processes, implement improvements, and close the feedback loop on prototype iterations

  • Instill uncompromising safety culture—especially around heavy lifting, pressure testing, and powered equipment

  • Maintain detailed assembly documentation, from torque records and fit checks to test reports and daily progress logs

  • Monitor inventory of mechanical parts, assemblies, consumables, and specialty tools

Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive hands-on experience in heavy mechanical or industrial assembly (structural steel, hydraulics, pipe fitting, actuators)

  • Deep skill with precision tools, torque wrenches, hand tools, pneumatic tools, mechanical and electromechanical assembly tools

  • Advanced ability to lead teams safely through large, intricate builds and complex hands-on processes

  • Proven knowledge of mechanical sealing, alignment, and troubleshooting

  • Ability to read and implement intricate technical drawings and assembly documentation

  • Strong problem solver, mentor, and communicator—comfortable driving project urgency and mechanical quality

  • High energy, curiosity, and drive—ready for a hands-on, transformative engineering project

Work Hours, Conditions & Environment

  • Work takes place in a large industrial warehouse space designed for heavy mechanical assembly and fabrication

  • Environment includes high ceilings, open assembly bays, and areas equipped for handling large structural steel components and large equipment on wheels

  • Teams operate 10–12 hour shifts, 6 to 7 days per week to meet critical project milestones and delivery timelines

  • Active, hands-on role requiring standing, lifting, and close coordination amid noisy, busy surroundings

  • Strict adherence to safety protocols involving heavy lifting, tool operation, pressure testing, and powered machinery

  • Collaborative, fast-paced setting emphasizing real-time problem solving and teamwork on complex mechanical builds

  • Comfortable with the physical demands and energized by leading in a large-scale, industrial production environment

Why WET (Design)?
Lead a hands-on mechanical team at the forefront of what’s possible, blending raw engineering, advanced systems, and creative artistry to sculpt the next generation of experiential features. Step up and shape high-profile, technically demanding projects that will amaze the world.
