General Statement:

 

Under the supervision of the Director of Intake and Outpatient Services, performs administrative, clinical, and professional tasks in the development, management, and supervision of the entry to care/intake process and outpatient clinical therapy services for individuals of all ages. Maintains best practice and model fidelity in developing and administering services to those with mental illness, substance use disorders, intellectual/developmental disabilities and trauma and/or chronic health conditions that challenge recovery; provides clinical and administrative supervision, staff development and case consultation; facilitates department team meetings guiding the team decision making process; works as a member of the clinical teams, including direct service provision as needed; provides education within the agency and for the community; works as a member of the leadership team at GHS to promote the agency mission, and performs related work as required and across various agency locations.

 Master’s in Social Work

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Michigan Master’s level Social Worker (LMSW) credential, Clinica and/or Macro

 

 Three (3) years of experience working with adults and or children and families who have a diagnosis of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or Dual Diagnosis, mental illness, and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorder AND a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.

Willing and able to supervise LLMSW and LLBSW staff as needed. 

 Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) credential of Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) OR obtain a development plan within 3 months of hire.

 

 

 

 Master’s in Psychology

 

 

 

 

 

 Michigan Limited License Psychologist (LP,LLP) credential

 

 Three (3) years of experience working with adults and or children and families who have a diagnosis of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or Dual Diagnosis, mental illness, and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorder AND a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.

 Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) credential of Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) OR obtain a development plan within 3 months of hire.

 Master’s in Counseling

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Michigan License Professional Counselor (LPC) credential

 

 

 

 Three (3) years of experience working with adults and/or children and families who have a diagnosis of Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities or Dual Diagnosis, mental illness, and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorder AND a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience. Willing and able to supervise LLC staff as needed. 

 Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) credential of Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) OR obtain a development plan within 3 months of hire.

 

 

 

Additional Requirements:

 

As THIRD-PARTY insurance may be billed by this position, in accordance with professional scope of practice, employee MUST MEET THIRD PARTY REQUIREMENTS.

Must obtain/ retain MDHHS qualifications as a Child Mental Health Professional. 

Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) credential of Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) OR obtain a development plan within 3 months of hire. Must be willing and able to work weekends, holidays, or irregular hours.

Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance and own transportation or the use of a vehicle during working hours. 

Must be able to physically perform the tasks.

 

Preferences:

 

Preferred candidate will have the MCBAP Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) credential or a CCS development plan.
