Our research portfolio spans development of new treatment ideas, clinical trials, preclinical imaging, device development, MRI-Physics, radiation therapy physics, and computational physics. We engage with industry, hospitals, international collaborators and universities to forge relationships that help take our projects from lab bench to patient bedside. Here, you will have the opportunity to participate in a wide ranging and multi-disciplinary research program.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate at level A or B to join the Image X Institute, part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health. In this role you will conduct high-quality research, lead publications, engage in clinical trials and have the opportunity to contribute to and lead research grant submissions.

The successful applicant will assist on projects which aim to unlock the full potential of clinical robotic cone beam computed tomography imaging systems, implementing, refining, and delivering the next generation of 3D imaging for interventional disciplines with direct pathways to clinical translation. The applicant will have access to world-unique imaging facilities, working within a research-dedicated hybrid theatre with the opportunity to fully customize the operation of a clinical robotic imaging system.

You will benefit from a strong mentoring environment as part of the interventional imaging research stream in the Image X Institute. This project is part of a global imaging research network which includes international industry and hospital collaboration. You will be based at South Eveleigh (formerly the Australian Technology Park).

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Undertake original research in developing methods of cone beam computed tomography interventional imaging
