Job Summary

Leads key pricing initiatives to address gaps in performance vs. business targets. Performs pricing analysis and recommendations to implement pricing strategy throughout all consumer and B2B channels. Responsible for pricing record maintenance and systems execution.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Pricing Strategy Development

  • Support in developing/enhancing strategies that optimize our product mix and maximize margin while fully utilizing our production capabilities.
  • Proven experience in finance, with a strong focus on consumer B2B, Retail Pricing, Promotions, and Trade Management.
  • Expertise in Consumer and B2B pricing strategy development, including cost-to-serve, value-based pricing, and discount optimization.
  • Strong ability to conduct competitive market intelligence and benchmarking to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Skilled in building pricing models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to understand and balance customer requirements with production and logistics constraints when developing optimal pricing strategy
  • Expertise in media management, particularly in coordinating marketing campaigns and tracking their effectiveness.
  • Support the development of executive-level presentations that summarize and gain alignment on the analysis and the strategic rationale underpinning pricing decisions and expected financial impact
  • Familiarity with SAP and BI tools for automating reporting processes.

Guide and Support Consumer Product and B2B P&L Teams

  • Align pricing strategy targets across Consumer Products and B2B P&L Teams to ensure that the company is implementing the pricing strategy and is maximizing its profitability
  • Oversee key pricing initiatives to address gaps in financial targets vs. actuals

Pricing Implementation and Analysis

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and develop actionable insights.
  • Responsible for implementing pricing strategy at the individual customer level for assigned business segments
  • Works closely with Sales & Marketing to develop all required documents and tools supporting pricing strategy execution
  • Provide data-driven pricing recommendations based on market and consumer/customer trends and competitive landscape

Price Requests & Maintenance

  • Responsible for analyzing all price requests and providing a recommendation that is aligned with our pricing strategy
  • Partner with transportation to ensure accurate use of freight rates in price assessments
  • Accurately maintains all salt and freight pricing records
  • Maintains pricing guidelines and price lists for all products, channels and segments

Orders on Price Hold

  • Accountable for reviewing orders placed on price hold
  • Work with cross-functional resources to resolve price discrepancies to ensure all orders are processed efficiently and effectively
  • Reporting
    • Perform monthly assessment to compare projected financial impact of pricing actions versus actual results

Knowledge, Skills & Abillities 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Finance, Economics or related concentration preferred.
  • MBA & CPG Experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Tableau for data visualization and dashboard development.
  • Experience in SAP, AI/ML applications for data analysis and research (preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with strong self-motivation and leadership skills to continually improve and drive projects independently.
  • 4+ years of pricing and/or business-related experience
  • Well-rounded business acumen with proven skills in Marketing, Brand and Finance
  • P&L management experience preferred, exposure to P&L management required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Proven ability to understand, analyze, and implement pricing strategies and effectively communicate and implement recommendations
  • Committed to consistently deliver on-time, accurate results
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities & analysis in a fast-paced environment.
