PC Financial is looking for a motivated Product Designer Co-op to support the digital team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional design environment, learning from experienced designers and contributing to real-world projects. You’ll play a key role in assisting the team while building your skills in
user-centered design.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with intermediate and senior designer by assisting in the creation of user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas.
- Help the team conduct user research, including organizing surveys, assisting in usability tests, and documenting findings.
- Contribute to maintaining design libraries by organizing assets and ensuring they follow established guidelines.
- Attend meetings with cross-functional teams to learn how product design aligns with broader business goals.
- Assist in creating or refining small design components under supervision.
- Participate in design reviews, workshops, and team discussions to expand your knowledge and receive feedback.
- Help document design decisions, research findings, and project updates.
What You Bring:
- 0-1 years of experience in product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates potential in user-centered design.
- Knowledge of UX and UI design principles, Human-centric design as well as design tools like Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Willingness to learn and apply design thinking methodologies to solve user problems.
- Familiarity with user research techniques, such as ethnography, usability testing or user interviews.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning new tools and methodologies.
- A Collaborative “yes and” mentality, strong communication and presentation skills.
- Interest in accessibility and inclusive design practices.
