As a School Based Support Specialist, you'll provide direct support and activities aligned with comprehensive treatment plans. You’ll work closely with students, families, and community resources to promote recovery, resilience, and overall well-being. This role applies behavioral science principles to help youth thrive in their home and community environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Apply behavioral science principles to support youth in home and community settings
Use a supportive educational approach aligned with treatment goals
Engage in activities tailored to diverse student needs
Manage a caseload and coordinate with supervisory staff
Participate in client staffing to identify challenges and set goals
Provide emergency services to students in emotional crisis
Adhere to Brightli Operational Guidelines and professional ethical codes
Support data collection, program evaluation, grant applications, and contract maintenance
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related human services field
Bachelor’s degree in unrelated field + 2 years of related experience
Any four-year combination of higher education + 2 years of related experience
Associate’s of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support
Four years of qualifying experience in mental health, substance use, or developmental disabilities
Required License/Certification (one of the following):
Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle
Reliable transportation for client transport in personal vehicle
Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance
Successful completion of background checks including criminal, driving, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint
Additional Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build rapport with students and families
Flexibility and adaptability in a school-based setting
Commitment to trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards
