About the Job
Carver Road Hospitality is seeking an Events & Marketing Intern to assist in the sales and marketing of Seamark Seafood & Cocktails, located inside Encore Boston Harbor. This is an in-person position based in Everett, MA. This internship runs from September – December 2025, with the possibility of an extension or full-time offer based on performance. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, organized, highly ambitious individual who is passionate about hospitality.
As an Events & Marketing Intern, you will report to the Directors of Marketing and Sales, executing various tasks related to sales, marketing, research and development, operations and overall administrative duties related to those general areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Director of Sales with client site visits.
- Work with Executive Chefs to create and update banquet menus and custom menus, when necessary, this includes seasonal menus.
- Assist with organization and execution of open houses for prospective clients.
- Assist with new inquiries and send out general information to prospective clients.
- Oversee beginning of events to ensure smooth execution, including greeting clients.
- Research city wide conventions to identify opportunities for events (Cold Calls/Cold Emails).
- Liaison with venue management to ensure proper execution during events.
- Rental and return of event equipment to vendors and hotel banquets team where applicable.
- Ensure insurance, legal, health and safety obligations of event, including all necessary city permitting if needed.
- Ensure proper equipment and supplies are present for execution of events in all spaces.
- Responsible for coordination of outside event services such as security, florals, cakes, DJ’s, step and repeats, photographer, etc.
- Participate in the organization of in-house marketing promotional events and attend outside networking events.
- Participate in weekly Sales and Marketing meetings and generate new ideas.
- Assist Marketing team
- Schedule posts & stories on Social Media channels
- Support coordination with partners, influencers, and vendors
- Organize digital assets (photos, graphics, brand materials)
Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a marketing, sales, or other program at a college or university to receive credit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
- Knowledge of video editing software, such as InShot, preferred.
- Knowledge of graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, a plus.
- Available 30 hours per week in person
