We are currently recruiting for a Terminal Operator to join our team.

What will you be doing

Responsible for overseeing and administering all local terminal activities, including operations, customer service, construction/maintenance, safety, environmental compliance, and accounting. Acts as the representative of the company in interactions with the community, customers, suppliers, and governmental agencies. Ensures that terminal operations are conducted in compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and all relevant regulations. 

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and direct terminal programs to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all employees, visitors, and company property. Ensure terminal compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and security regulations. The Quality program should drive efficient and productive terminal operations while supporting regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship. 
  • Ensure all customers receive prompt, complete, and high-quality service in accordance with contractual requirements and established procedures. Oversee all operational activities to meet service standards and maintain operational efficiency. As well as maintain positive relations with the local community, neighbors, and other external stakeholders. Represent the company in a professional manner and foster goodwill in all community interactions. 
  • Administer all personnel-related policies, including recruitment, training, development, and scheduling of work. Manage labor union negotiations and staff job descriptions, objectives, and performance reviews. Ensure compliance with corporate administrative policies and procedures.  
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate regulatory matters with the Engineering Manager and relevant staff. Interface with regulators as needed and participate in customer audits. Ensure proper documentation and reports are submitted in a timely manner.     
  • Develop and manage annual expense budgets for terminal operations, ensuring costs are controlled within established limits. Oversee capital projects, coordinating with local and corporate staff as necessary. Ensure adherence to budgets and proper approval processes for expenditures.  
  • Coordinate and oversee all technical and regulatory aspects of terminal expansion and renovation projects. Ensure accurate cost estimates and proper construction management for all projects. 
  • Coordinate terminal responses to major incidents such as product contamination, property damage, or personnel accidents. Ensure emergency and contingency procedures are current, and personnel are properly trained to respond to such incidents. As well as ensure that all terminal personnel are adequately trained and educated to safely and effectively perform their duties. Conduct ongoing evaluations and training to enhance operational competence and safety. awareness. 

     

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration. 
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar function. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Suite.
