Manages emergency management operations for Cherokee Nation Health Services Emergency Services.
Job Duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides supervision to Paramedic and Emergency Medical Technician staff.
• Manages the development and implementation of training activities related to emergency preparedness, response, and recovery.
• Reviews and assists with budget in allocating resources and equipment for department programs and activities.
• Assists with strategic planning and determining objectives of Emergency Services and programming in partnership with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Evaluates and communicates departmental policies and procedures to Emergency Services staff.
• Instructs Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support courses.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
• Licensure as a Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor certification.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
