Requirements
We’re seeking a part-time Accounts Officer to join our finance team. This structured role offers consistent hours, 4 hours each day, Monday to Friday while giving you the flexibility to set your start and finish times within our core business hours, so it can suit your lifestyle.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Maintain the accuracy of the creditors ledger and collaborate with Management, Purchasing, and Operations.
- Reconcile the Weel account for inbound/outbound travellers, ensuring receipts are captured and spend monitored in line with policy.
- Reconcile company credit cards, oversee petty cash, and assist with daily cash reporting.
- Maintain the receivables ledger as the company’s customer profile expands.
- Provide general finance support and assist with ad hoc duties as required.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as an Accounts Payable Officer or in a similar finance role.
- Proficiency with accounting/finance systems, ideally including Xero and approval workflow platforms (e.g., Approval Max).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks within a 4-hour daily window.
- A system-savvy mindset, eager to use technology to improve processes.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, with the ability to provide solutions and recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce will be highly regarded.
