Perform regular server health checks, monitoring resource usage, hardware status, and performance metrics.

Handle OS deployments, version upgrades, and lead proof-of-concepts (POCs) for migration to new versions.

Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot project-specific lab servers and staging environments.

Manage new hardware/software installations and commissioning for on-premise infrastructure.

Implement and monitor infrastructure redundancy, backup strategies, and failover systems to ensure high availability.

Maintain automation racks, ensuring they are reliable and meet engineering requirements for validation or test automation.

Collaborate with engineering teams to address signalling-related infrastructure needs, solving daily operational challenges quickly and efficiently.

Conduct regular upgrades and patching, applying best practices for security, compliance, and uptime.

Manage and upgrade Jenkins infrastructure (including on-premise and cloud-hosted instances), including plugin updates, performance tuning, and vulnerability patching.

Lead the migration of Jenkins jobs to GitLab CI/CD, improving maintainability, versioning, and collaboration.

Oversee the transition of on-premise Git repositories to a centralized, company-governed GitLab.

Contribute to the migration of eligible on-premise build infrastructure to AWS, focusing on cost optimization, reliability, and scalability.

Design and implement hybrid infrastructure that bridges on-premise systems with cloud-hosted services securely and efficiently.

Manage and maintain cloud-based Jenkins servers, ensuring they are patched, backed up, and integrated with cloud services.

Manage AWS-based build servers, including provisioning, system updates, monitoring, and backups.

Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices for cloud resources using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Monitor cloud resource utilization, assist with cost management, and suggest optimizations where appropriate.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure follows security and compliance best practices, especially during and after migration activities.

4–7 years of experience in managing on-premise servers and infrastructure.

Proficiency in Linux system administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience with Jenkins administration and CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with Git and GitLab administration/migrations.

Experience with server virtualization and automation frameworks.

Knowledge of backup, redundancy, and disaster recovery strategies.

Exposure to AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.).

Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams.
