About the Team:
The Digital Innovation team is working with the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and 27 partner Councils and leading on the development of the next generation of software to simplify and improve the planning application process for all involved.
We work with our partners in a collaborative and open environment using genuinely agile software development processes. Our projects and decision making are data and evidence based and involve the collection and analysis of large amounts of information.
About the Role:
We are looking for a talented individual with a passion for digital solutions to be the Council’s main lead on the Back Office Planning System (BOPS) project. This project aims to use digital technology to simplify and automate planning assessments for Council officers.
The successful candidate will also support the Digital Planning Lead on other digital innovation programmes that the Council is involved with, including PlanX, Digital Site Notices projects and Building Control discovery.
The role provides the perfect opportunity for you to progress your career on a range of exciting digital planning projects that will have a meaningful impact on the way Lambeth and England manage town planning and other local government processes.
Your workload will include developing metrics bespoke to the Digital Site Notices, PlanX and BOPS projects, and collecting, classifying and analysing large amounts of data.
You will provide support to senior officers and use your professional judgement to make reasoned and considered recommendations on complex matters and present these to the Digital Innovation team and senior management as required.
The salary will be enhanced through a Market Supplement of 7%.
