Overview: As a Restaurant General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of
the restaurant's operations, including financial performance, customer satisfaction, staff
management, and overall business growth. You will lead a team to ensure the restaurant operates
efficiently, maintains high standards of food quality and service, and achieves financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Leadership:
o Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling,
and managing shifts.
o Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness, sanitation standards, and adherence to food safety
regulations.
o Ensure efficient use of resources and equipment to maximize profitability and
minimize waste.
2. Financial Management:
o Develop and implement strategies to achieve financial targets, including sales goals,
profitability, and cost control.
o Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as sales reports, budget variance reports, and
profit and loss statements.
o Monitor inventory levels, manage food and beverage costs, and oversee purchasing
and inventory management.
3. Staff Management and Development:
o Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance
management.
o Provide leadership and coaching to motivate team members, promote teamwork, and foster a
positive work environment.
o Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to
ensure staff development and adherence to company policies.
4. Customer Satisfaction:
o Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining high standards of hospitality, addressing
customer inquiries and concerns, and resolving complaints promptly.
o Monitor service quality and ensure all team members uphold customer service standards and brand
expectations.
5. Marketing and Sales Promotion:
o Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers, increase sales, and
promote the restaurant's brand.
o Collaborate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional events,
advertising campaigns, and social media initiatives.
6. Compliance and Safety:
o Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies
and procedures.
o Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain restaurant cleanliness, safety, and
operational standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role in the restaurant industry,
with a strong track record of leadership and operational success.

 

 


• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and
motivate a diverse team.
• In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage management, financial
analysis, and personnel management.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
and achieve business objectives.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Education and Certification:

• 5 years, or more, of previous Restaurant Management is ideal.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
(preferred).
• Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe) and other relevant industry certifications.
• Additional certifications or training in management, leadership, or business administration are
advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the restaurant environment for extended periods.
• Lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
