What you'll do

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the operation of the production services in a SaaS and public cloud-based web service. This is an engineering position that is responsible for the reliability, engineering and design of our globally available services.

  • Write and deploy code to maintain production services across multiple datacenters and cloud environments by using configuration management systems and code pipelines.
  • Finds problems and implements solutions to avoid repeat issues.
  • Partner with software engineering teams for building out website environments, troubleshoot code deployments, and configuration related problems.
  • Create and maintain configuration management systems for our Cloud Deployments.
  • Ability to design and implement solutions to reduce toil (building automation), generate trouble alerts, auto-heal system failures, and be able to report on website health.
  • Deep troubleshooting and forensic skills

 

What you'll bring

The DevOps Engineer will display values of Passion, Commitment, Contribution, Flexibility, Optimism and should have:

  • 3-7 years of Windows and/or Linux system engineering experience.
  • Coding languages: Java, GoLang, .net familiarity and web server experience
  • Proven scripting/coding skills
  • Experience with Public Cloud such as AWS, Google Cloud, Windows Azure
  • Experience maintaining large deployments using Puppet, CHEF, Ansible or other Configuration management tools
  • Experience with server virtualization and container (docker) technologies
  • Ability to do after hours on-call shifts
