About the team
Government Shared Services (GSS) is a new division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services.
We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.
The HR Process Operations team within in Government Shared Services Business Process Operations is a team that provides payroll services to NSW Government employees. It is a fast paced, high energy team, where no two days are the same. This role provides day to day supervision to a payroll team, working with the Team Leader and Manager to ensure efficient and accurate processing of payroll related transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of payroll officers, ensuring quality service to customers to support efficient payroll processing.
- Manage the day-to-day workload of your payroll team to ensure completion of tasks within agreed timeframes.
- Provide support and advice on complex requests
About You:
- Experience in payroll processing in SAP, working in a shared services transactional environment
- Experience leading a payroll team, with a demonstrated ability to manage high work volumes during peak times
- Attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and on the phone
- Understanding on NSW Government payroll awards and legislation
