Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Perform calculations for field crews.
- Perform Boundary Calculations.
- Perform Alignment and Right-of-Way Calculations
- Review and compare crew field book information to final maps.
- Prepare sketch and descriptions from field collected data.
- Perform processing for utilizing GPS processing software.
- Extract topographic features from LiDAR point clouds.
- Produce Design Surveys for FDOT projects utilizing MicroStation Open Roads
- Process survey data using Trimble Business Center.
- Utilize Standards of Practice and/or FDOT checklists for product preparation.
- Analyze deeds and research materials for production of survey and mapping products.
- Assist in Quality Control of field collected data for submittals.
- Preparation of survey estimates, surveyor’s reports, and meeting minutes.
- Preparation of Right-of-Way Control Surveys and Right-of-Way Maps.
- Generate maps, reports, and visualizations to support project deliverables.
What you'll need
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data collection and analysis.
- High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geography, GIS, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with surveying techniques, equipment, and field procedures preferred.
