We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical IT / OT Business Partner & Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic team at RWECE IT / OT to play a pivotal role in shaping the company's future growth. RWECE thrives on a commitment to innovation and delivering exceptional value to our customers across the business and with the RWE Group.  This position will be integral in managing the end to end IT / OT delivery portfolio from concept to delivery handoff and will serve as a trusted advisor to the business, ensure value realization, and guide prioritization / resource optimization. 

 

The ideal candidate is a proven winner and has similar experience from large IT organization and is  looking to join a growing team with large upside and create impact for a new capability. 

 

Role Responsiblitiies:

 

  • Serve as a support partner to the business and IT/OT delivery teams, facilitating intake of digital initiatives and tracking them through early lifecycle stages.
  • Attend business stakeholder meetings to document needs, understand pain points, and identify alignment opportunities with digital capabilities.
  • Maintain demand intake tools and trackers, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation of demand status, value drivers, and strategic alignment.
  • Assist in developing business cases by gathering data, estimating effort, and outlining expected outcomes under supervision of more senior team members.
  • Help refine solution requirements by collaborating with stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to understand functional and technical needs.
  • Participate in regular meetings with delivery squads, contributing updates and helping monitor alignment of execution against expectations.
  • Provide logistical support for quarterly portfolio reviews by assembling reports, presentations, and metrics related to demand status and performance.
  • Track progress on low-to-moderate complexity initiatives, flagging risks and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve blockers.
  • Support communication efforts by preparing stakeholder updates, status summaries, and intake documentation.
  • Apply foundational understanding of governance, compliance, and risk management procedures to ensure demands meet internal process requirements.
  • Begin developing domain knowledge in specific business functions such as development, construction, or operations to better understand IT/OT priorities.
  • Monitor stakeholder satisfaction by supporting survey distribution, compiling responses, and documenting improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying low-risk areas where tools, templates, or intake processes could be streamlined.

 

Job Qualifications and Expereinces:

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as an IT business partner, IT portfolio manager, or IT project manager or similar roles
  • Relevant experience at similar large & global IT organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field of study
  • Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field of study (or equivalent) is a plus

 

 

 

Job Skills & Competencies:

 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer and service provider relationships
  • Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds at all levels of the organization
  • Working knowledge of IT Portfolio Management concepts (e.g., demand intake, architecture review board, etc.) and tools (e.g., Bee360, Jira Align, etc.)
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Project, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments with changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to learn new technologies as required for the job using documentation and other available sources
  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Is a team player embracing the spirit of continuous improvement personally and within the team
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
