Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) is accepting applications for a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) Instructional Coach for the 2025-2026 school year, with a term ending at the end of the 2026-2027 school year. The Instructional Coach position is open to all internal qualified candidates with at least three (3) years of classroom teaching experience and a clear teaching credential.

- SALARY: Certificated Salary Schedule - 183 Day, plus Lead Teacher Stipend
- WORK SCHEDULE: M - F, 7.0 hours/day; Scheduled work hours vary by school site
- WORK SITE: SOS

- REQUIRED CREDENTIAL: Have a valid Clear or Level II California Teaching Credential and at least three (3) years of teaching experience. Authorization to teach English Language Learners.
- REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING: Successful instructional and grade-level/leadership experience across various grade levels and subject areas. Staff will be selected based on program needs. A completed online application is required to be considered.

EXPECTATIONS:
Play a pivotal role in supporting the professional growth and development of teachers. Primary responsibility will be to collaborate with teachers to enhance instructional practices, promote student engagement, and improve student outcomes. Facilitate professional learning communities (PLCs), design and deliver district professional development, lead lesson design sessions, model effective teaching strategies through coaching cycles, and provide job-embedded coaching to teachers. Additionally, coordinate data analysis sessions, conduct cross-visits to observe and share best practices, and use data to monitor student progress. Through guidance and support, help build teacher capacity, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ultimately contribute to the success of our students.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Lesson Design: Collaborate with teachers to design engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student learning needs.
- Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs): Guide PLC meetings to foster collaboration, share best practices, and analyze student data to inform instructional decisions.
- Design & Facilitate Professional Development: Develop and deliver professional development sessions that address teacher needs and promote continuous growth in instructional practices.
- Model Lessons: Demonstrate effective teaching strategies and techniques in classrooms to support teacher professional growth and student achievement.
- Implement Job-Embedded Coaching Cycles: Provide tailored coaching and support to teachers through observations, feedback, and modeling of instructional strategies.
- Lead Targeted Feedback Cycles: Establish structured feedback processes to provide constructive feedback to teachers on their instructional practices and student outcomes.
- Coordinate Cross-Visits: Arrange opportunities for teachers to observe and learn from their peers through cross-classroom visits and collaborative lesson planning.
- Build Teacher Capacity: Empower teachers to enhance their instructional skills and confidence through ongoing support, professional development, and reflective practice.
- Use Data to Monitor Student Learning: Utilize student assessment data to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and adjust instructional approaches to meet student needs effectively.
- Align goals with the learning objectives and strategies described in the Local Control and Accountability Plan and adjust, as needed, through the three-year cycle.
- Other Duties as Assigned, based on needs and areas of focus based on the district LCAP.
