Children’s Programs Supervisors ensure the highest quality of guest experience by overseeing children’s lesson operations from start to finish. They lead instructors, support group and private lessons for kids, uphold safety standards, and model BRC’s commitment to excellence in every interaction. This role requires strong leadership, guest service, and technical ski/snowboard skills, as well as the ability to create a safe, engaging, and fun learning environment for children.

Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities

  • Lead and delegate set-up and take-down tasks in meeting areas and children’s learning zones, including teaching tools and animations.

  • Deliver excellent guest service through clear communication, friendly demeanor, and professional conduct.

  • Oversee Children’s Group and Private Lesson operations.

  • Maintain efficient lesson check-in and check-out at the Children’s Programs area, ensuring smooth and timely parent interactions.

  • Assist instructors with challenging groups or lesson splits.

  • Assign and record instructor tasks daily.

  • Support and guide instructors in delivering high-quality lessons, guest service, and age-appropriate teaching.

  • Effectively communicate and coordinate execution of company initiatives with instructors and teams.

  • Motivate team members, plan and execute team-building events, and maintain high employee morale throughout the season.

  • Know when and how to delegate responsibilities effectively.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • PSIA / AASI Children’s Specialist or related certifications preferred.

  • Strong understanding of children’s ski/snowboard skills, progression, and age-specific teaching strategies.

  • Knowledge of the Lesson Cycle; ability to teach lessons and lead training clinics.

  • Effective, professional communication via email, phone/radio, and in person.

  • Experience with industry-standard platforms such as RTP, Intouch, and Flaik preferred.

  • Ability to provide timely and constructive feedback to instructors on lesson quality and opportunities for improvement.

  • Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and snowblowers related to Snowsports operations.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand for extended periods of time.

  • Walk/stand in ski or snowboard boots on irregular and slippery surfaces.

  • Bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp, and perform repetitive motions.

  • Ability and willingness to shovel snow.
