JOB STATUS: Full Time

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager to support the company’s Reliability Improvement thru Failure Identification and Reporting (RIMFIRE) program. RIMFIRE is a Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System that identifies trends and drivers of component removals, correlates the symptoms or faults experienced on the flight line through tear-down analysis to determine root cause of the perceived failure. The RIMFIRE PM will be responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and ensure that the technical/financial solutions and schedules in the specific delivery orders are implemented in a timely manner. Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all activities associated with assigned delivery order projects. Demonstrates competent writing and oral communication skills. Ensures quality products and services are delivered.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of experience.
  • 10 years of Aviation maintenance experience is desired.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition strategy and documentation knowledge to include a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices, as defined in DoDI 5000.02, AFI 63-101/20-101.
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly, communicate effectively, and remain organized in order to monitor progress toward the accomplishment of various taskings and initiatives.
  • Work proactively, with minimal supervision, and effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.). 

 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Identify acquisition strategy issues and propose alternative solutions. 
  • Measuring and reporting program performance.
  • Development and adherence to budget baselines cost & schedule control methodologies and tools.
  • Assist with strategic level issues and ability to work independently as well as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities. 
  • Possesses proven leadership, team building, strategic planning, and organizational development skills. 
  • Possesses pertinent experience in the development of RFP documentation and support of Acquisition Strategy reviews. 
  • Demonstrated experience in packaging and presenting briefings for senior level reviews. 
  • Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews, and IMP/IMS reviews.
  • Plan, market, and support the growth of the RIMFIRE program.
