Position Overview
Seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our team to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions of shafts and chucks used in the converting industry
- Document work performed, including parts used and time spent on each repair through an ERP system
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Communicate effectively with customers (internal and external) regarding repair status and recommendations
- Collaborate with team members and other departments as needed
- Stay current with new technologies, repair techniques, and manufacturer updates
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in repair/maintenance work
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read manufacturing prints (general knowledge of GD&T), technical manuals, schematics
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Experience with Excel, Word
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various physical positions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification or associate degree in relevant field
- Experience with Visual and/or FastLook
- Customer service experience
Work Environment
- Climate controlled machine/assembly shop
- Standard work schedule: Monday-Friday 1st shift
