We are Looking for:
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Pulmonary & Critical Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced Physicians in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The NP will play an integral role in the evaluation, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions as well as critically ill patients in the ICU.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments and manage patients with pulmonary conditions such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, and sleep apnea
- Assist with the management of critically ill patients in the ICU, including ventilator management, sedation protocols, and hemodynamic monitoring (training provided)
- Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests, including chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests, and lab work
- Participate in hospital rounds with supervising physicians and coordinate inpatient care plans
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, therapies, and preventive measures
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with the care team
- Write prescriptions and coordinate care with specialists and primary care providers as needed
- Participate in outpatient follow-up visits and chronic disease management in a clinic setting

Requirements
- Licensed or license-eligible NP in the state of Texas
- Board certified (AANP/ANCC)
- Prior experience in Pulmonary Care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
