Experience Required: Minimum 5 years
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, purchase agreements, and related construction/manufacturing documents.
- Advise on Texas lien law compliance, including lien notices, filings, releases, and enforcement.
- Lead or support resolution of disputes involving back charges, delay claims, warranty issues, and quality-related matters.
- Manage outside counsel and oversee litigation, arbitration, and mediation when required.
- Provide proactive risk management advice on project execution, contract performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop policies and procedures that minimize disputes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct training for project and plant managers on contract risk, lien law requirements, and dispute prevention.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law with a focus on construction, manufacturing, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of Texas lien law and construction-related statutes.
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and back charge management.
- Excellent communication, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide practical, business-minded advice.
