Position Objective
Under general supervision, patrols the Zoological Park to maintain and safeguard life and property against fire, vandalism and theft.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Patrols the Zoological Park, maintaining peace, reprimands and ejects loiterers and disorderly persons.
2. Calls for police when necessary and represents the Zoo when required pertaining to summonses issued, arrests made, or when court appearances are required.
3. Records daily actions and makes reports as required.
4. Monitors walkie-talkie / radio and responds to calls for service.
5. Performs related tasks as required.
6. Will work required shifts.
7. May be required to operate a motor vehicle (Patrol etc.)
8. Safeguard and maintain equipment (vehicle, radios, etc.)

Qualification Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid New York State Driver’s License.
3. Valid New York State Security Guard Registration Card.
