Salesforce Financial Services Solution Architect – Hybrid | Irvine, CA
Perficient is actively seeking a seasoned Salesforce Financial Services Solution Architect to join our rapidly expanding Salesforce practice. This strategic role is based in Irvine, California and follows a hybrid work model, offering a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility.
As a Solution Architect, you’ll bring deep expertise in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, along with proficiency in at least one additional Salesforce Cloud (e.g., Sales, Service, Experience). Your role will be pivotal in designing and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions tailored to the unique needs of financial services clients.
What You’ll Do:
- Architect end-to-end Salesforce solutions that address complex business challenges in the financial services sector.
- Lead client engagements, providing strategic guidance and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Define scope, estimate work effort, and lead Proof of Concept initiatives.
- Integrate Salesforce with third-party platforms and legacy systems to create seamless, data-driven experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, AI-powered solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
- Support sales pursuits and contribute to client presentations, proposals, and solutioning.
- Mentor delivery teams and contribute to thought leadership across the Salesforce ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Own and aggressively drive forward specific areas of technology architecture. Provide architectural solutions/designs to project execution teams for implementation.
- Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more technology domains.
- Lead projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
- Project and solution estimation and team structure definition.
- Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
- Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.
- Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
- Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
- Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions.
- Engage with Technical Architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business needs.
- Demonstrate broad solutions technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Salesforce.
- At least 2 full-cycle Salesforce project implementations (discover, design, implement, optimize) – required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional services company, consulting firm, or agency.
- Strong background in the Financial Services industry—including banking, insurance, wealth management, or related domains.
- Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud; Financial Services Cloud Certification is a plus.
- Solid understanding of delivery methodologies and ability to lead teams through solution implementation aligned with architectural design.
- Proven experience in project and solution estimation, and defining team structures.
- Fluent in current architecture trends with a forward-looking perspective on market and technical evolution.
- Demonstrated ability to define new architectures and independently lead projects from an architectural standpoint.
- Successful track record managing complex and/or large consulting engagements.
- Skilled in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documentation.
- Ability to elicit requirements and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, support strategic initiatives, and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Deep understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills and Education:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Leadership and team management experience, with strategic planning and oversight capabilities.
- Experience leading customer workshops and educating clients on emerging technology trends and best practices.
- Proven leadership in delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams, including offshore team management.
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730.
