We're looking for:
Hotel Magdalena is looking for a Staff Accountant that will perform multitude of tasks that include but are not limited to daily, weekly, monthly bookkeeping for various properties, assistance and management of staff at different levels at various properties, bank reconciliations, credit card statement reconciliations, month end close duties, preparations and remittance of sales and occupancy taxes and preparation and review of monthly financial statements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess advanced computational ability and math skills, including analysis and reporting capabilities. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office programs is required.
Advanced Knowledge of UltiPro, Unifocus, and Plate IQ preferred.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately and safely.
Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Requirements:
Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Income Journals, and General Cashier tasks.
Prepare and review journal entries, month-end reports and bank reconciliations.
Systems administration, G/L account reconciliations, inventories, and monthly closing responsibilities.
Assist and help oversee hotel on-site accounting functions to ensure proper fiscal management, timely and accurate reporting and analysis for the hotel.
Participate in monthly financial reviews and assist with the presentation of these reports.
Assist Management with completing the year-end audit process.
Participate in and respond to auditor requests to ensure total hotel compliance.
Help prepare all monthly and annual financial statements.
Investigate, review and analyze the variance explanations, involving the department staff in this process.
Take initiative to manage trouble shooting for respective cost controls and revenue enhancement.
Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position.
