Description
Responsible for providing excellent Customer Service through coaching the administration of this team in proper procedures, managing team members in achieving daily/weekly tasks, and goal setting. Ensure an effective structure, processes, and procedures are in place to control and measure day to day task efficiency and effectiveness. Responsible for maintaining control of weight scales, billing and entry of tickets into the system, accurate data entry, manage and approve team timecards in payroll system and serve as a site HR liaison. This role will work in cohesion with and report directly to the CFO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty assigned satisfactorily.
Daily duties include, but not limited to:
- Learn and act as a backup or support for all office personnel staff; scale operator, customer service, A/P, A/R and other duties assigned.
- Setup new vendor and customer accounts for both payments and miscellaneous charges.
- Manage monthly customer reporting transmission.
- Manage all office staff to ensure completion of daily tasks and duties
- Review accounting checklists with accounting team on a daily basis for completion of work and then follow up for reports being returned from managers filled out.
- Coordinate monthly meetings with Plant Manager and Senior Leaders to develop opportunities for areas of improvement for staffing changes, responsibilities, training needed and / or staffing growth.
- Manage employee schedules; approve time off and weekly payroll in a timely manner.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role will have 6 – 8 direct reports.
Requirements
- Associate degree preferred but not required if qualified candidate has adequate work experience
- 5+ years in an office setting directly supervising others
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented and high level of initiative
- Computer literacy, Microsoft suite proficiency and TRUX software program experience a plus
- Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable form of transportation
- 1 – 3 years in solid waste and recycling industry preferred
This is a part time position 5 days a week. Target 25-30 hours/week at $30/hour.
