Graphic Designer & Multimedia Specialist
About the Role
The City of Sandy Springs is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer & Multimedia Specialist to join our Communications team. This position is responsible for creating visually compelling designs that reflect and advance the City’s brand across both print and digital platforms. From brochures and street banners to social media campaigns and promotional webpages, you’ll deliver creative solutions that engage our community and strengthen the City’s visual identity.
Key Responsibilities
• Design print materials including brochures, newsletters, flyers, reports, posters, street banners, and advertisements.
• Develop digital assets such as social media graphics, eNewsletter content, promotional webpages, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Create and refine logos, icons, and other brand elements for consistency across platforms.
• Collaborate with departments, vendors, and external partners to deliver effective visual communications.
• Assist with photography, videography, and other multimedia projects as needed.
• Maintain file management standards and track projects using Asana.
• Stay current on design trends, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies to enhance creative work.
What We’re Looking For
• A creative eye with exceptional graphic design skills and a strong sense of visual storytelling.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator; working knowledge of Photoshop.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends for events.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Professional portfolio showcasing your design work (required with application).
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with a satisfactory driving history.
Preferred: Agency experience and familiarity with multimedia production tools.
