Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Shift: Primarily 1st shift (7am–3pm); flexibility required for alternate shifts and overtime
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, installation, testing, and maintenance of complex equipment and systems.
- Implement and manage a robust preventative maintenance program.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems using advanced tools.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of site-specific machinery and infrastructure.
- Serve as the technical authority on equipment performance and system reliability.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors.
- Train and supervise maintenance staff in technical tasks and safety procedures.
- Interpret technical documentation including blueprints and schematics.
- Manage maintenance operations including recordkeeping, reporting, and procurement.
- Oversee routine and emergency maintenance of facility infrastructure.
- Respond rapidly to emergencies, including operation of generators and material handling equipment.
- Collaborate with Safety and other departments to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and improve maintenance workflows for efficiency and reliability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Extensive technical knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical infrastructure, and industrial equipment.
- Ability to interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills under time-sensitive conditions.
- Proactive and responsive with a track record of anticipating and resolving maintenance needs.
- Effective communicator and team leader.
- Comfortable performing a wide range of tasks, from basic repairs to complex technical interventions.
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to work Saturdays and flexible for overtime during production volume increases.
- Capable of working from ladders, hydraulic lifts, and high structures.
- Able to work in high-voltage areas and inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to stand or walk continuously for at least 80% of the time.
- Ability to bend, squat, twist, climb stairs, and lift frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Technical certifications in electrical or mechanical systems
