Position Summary
The Senior Pricing Analyst will play a critical role in executing pricing strategies, enhancing profitability and market share within the beverage wholesale industry. Position requires a strong mix of analytical skills, financial acumen, and an understanding of market dynamics to manage pricing across a portfolio of products in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Reporting directly to the Business Information Manager, this position will assist in providing data-driven recommendations for leadership, supporting sustainable growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain pricing models and tools to support beverage product pricing across multiple warehouse channels and customer segments.
- Analyze supplier cost, price, discount, and rebate recommendations ensuring optimal internal margins.
- Provide clear and concise reporting to leadership on pricing performance, margin analysis, and profitability by product, brand, and customer.
- Ensure pricing strategies comply with state laws and regulations.
- Process and manage deals, credit requests and depletion allowance reimbursements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline pricing processes and improve system accuracy.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for pricing analytics, providing insight and knowledge-sharing with team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field, Master’s a plus.
- 4–6+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or related field, preferably in beer, wine, or spirits industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues, providing strategic recommendations based on data.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Encompass Enterprise Resource Planning software, SQL, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of pricing methodologies, cost structures and supply chain processes is critical.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.
- Detail-oriented essential for ensuring the accuracy of financial calculations and data entry in a high-volume environment.
