This is a full-time position with hours of 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
The Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator oversees purchasing and inventory management across multiple locations to ensure availability of high-quality equipment and supplies at the best value. This position will work closely with internal teams to meet equipment and supply needs while maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages rental/serialized supply inventories in multiple locations
- Purchases from various manufacturers and distributors to ensure quality and best price.
- Coordinates purchases for multiple divisions within KPHC.
- Initiates inventory transfers to satellite locations, based on min/max par levels.
- Leads physical inventory counts at all satellite locations to ensure accurate inventory levels and shelf locations.
- Reconciles invoices to purchase orders, ensuring accurate coding compliance.
- Works with all teams in regard to equipment and supply needs.
- Communicate with vendors to determine product availability and new products.
- Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
- Analyzes market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
- Ensures accurate inventory counts and par levels.
- Maintains warehouse and inventory processes to follow standards and company compliance.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Presents a professional appearance and appropriate conduct at all times.
- Maintains patient confidentiality in all work activities.
- May travel to satellite locations as needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree preferred; directly related experience in healthcare inventory may be substituted.
- Prior experience of inventory management experience utilizing purchasing and inventory software applications preferred.
- Highly effective communication, negotiating, and computer skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None assigned.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standard office/warehouse setting with normal noise levels. Position requires standing, bending, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds in the warehouse.
