This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ office near Portland, Oregon. The expectation is for employees to be in-office 3 days or more per week, depending on business need. This in-office expectation is subject to change at business discretion.

This position serves a critical role on the Global Logistics leadership team. As a Sr Manager of Global Logistics, you will establish global processes and implement programs, projects, and initiatives to achieve the company’s overall strategic objectives - elevating the logistics function to support a best-in-class Supply Chain.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Lead a dynamic team of logistics professionals with an emphasis on further developing Global Logistics Talent/Human Resources.
  • Own the relationship with the Global and Regional teams enabling best in class service to the company.   Accountable for the operating model for all parts of the logistics lifecycle from RFP, forecast, seasonal execution and billing.  
  • Develop advanced engagement models with a high level of internal and cross functional visibility across all levels of the organization (QBR, Cost to serve reviews, forward looking growth, and risk mitigation strategies)
  • Translate the global impact of logistics performance through the lens of revenue, inventory, lead time, cost and service. Maintains a solid finical understanding and strong end to end supply chain acumen.
  • Bring forth and implement new revolutionary ways of working. This includes writing and submitting business cases, cost modeling for viability and company benefit.
  • Lead and represent the team in corporate initiatives that further our supply chain strategic pillars, specifically: Elevate Planning, Develop Network Capacity, Optimize Fulfillment, Enhanced Network Visibility, Digitization of the supply chain and Accelerating our talent.
  • Establish and monitor KPI’s/ metrics to evaluate Global Logistics performance, develop communication tools to maximize regional service and functional cost, implement industry best practices, and educate Columbia personnel on transportation mode optimization. 
  • Establish and manage effective international logistics processes improving and digitizing the physical distribution of products as well as the administrative control and information flow.
  • Collaborates with regional logistics leaders to establish and manage local (in-country) logistics processes for the physical distribution of products as well as the administrative control and information flow.  Standardizing and digitizing processes were possible.
  • Partner with regional logistics teams to Identify and establish “global best practice” for each of the core logistics functions encompassing - warehouse, transport, and international logistics which can be utilized at the business and regional level and in other group divisions.
  • Own and execute vendor selection and appointment procedures that lead to strong established contracts with 3PLs/ 4PLs.  (used by the business to warehouse, transport and import and export materials.)
  • Represent and contribute on behalf of the logistics function when the organization engages in new projects, business ventures or seeks to expand into emerging and new markets as well as key initiatives.

  • Demonstrate initiative and strong business knowledge.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to apply experience and knowledge to provide creative solutions to problems.

YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in logistics or related supply chain discipline
  • 5+ years management experience in logistics management.
  • Apparel/footwear industry experience is preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
