Salary or Pay Band:Pay Band 1, $20.172 to $23.779 (5 step range)
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Porter transports patients, patient related documents, equipment, supplies and specimens to and from the Cancer Centre. Provides support to the department by maintaining inventory, general cleaning and related clerical duties. This position reports to the Provincial Leader or Site Manager of Radiation Therapy.

Grade 12
Experience:
No previous experience
Skills:
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to work independently.
Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft applications.
Judgment and problem solving skills are such that problems are easily identified and solved by using established guidelines and methods.
Ability to verbally communicate clearly/effectively.
Human relations skills required to empathize with complaints and/or concerns and establish rapport with patients, the public and other staff.
Accuracy of large motor movements is necessary for steering stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain confidentiality.
Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
