You will support end-to-end logistics (physical flows from plants to customers), including all warehouse, transport and co-packing operations, in terms of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policies compliance. You will provide team leadership and direction for the logistics organization. In this role, you will implement logistics strategy and effectively execute operations to ensure optimum logistics solutions while supporting various routes-to-market, and balancing service and cost. You will work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Be accountable for warehouse, transportation, international logistics (import/export) and co-packing operations
  • Ensure the implementation of the business plan by delivering a consistent service level, adapting the supply chain to the demanding and changing customer environment and ensuring sufficient operational capacity to deliver business needs
  • Be accountable for delivering logistics operational cost budget, ensuring that best-in-class controls and governance are in place
  • Foster, initiate and lead continuous improvement programs that reduce cost and our carbon footprint and improve the service performance of the operation
  • Ensure successful project implementation
  • Select, manage and develop long-term relationships with third-party service providers
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety, quality, food defense and legal requirements and policies
  • Establish a business continuity plan for logistics operations.
  • Support best-practices sharing and adoption

More about this role

What you need to know about this position:

Responsible for assisting in development and direct implementation methods and procedures for warehouse management processes, utilizing engineering techniques, management principles and system configuration to support service and cost management.  Responsible for leading RDC productivity, loss elimination, and cost savings projects that deliver in year and multiyear savings.  Responsible for creating, maintaining a list of RDC network projects to deliver year over year savings. Partner with Operations and PMO on large change initiatives requiring Mondelez change management pertaining to new technology and new processes. 

What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • Develop productivity systems, design new ways of working and lead efficiencies
  • Standardize SOPs, workflow and productivity
  • Create Scorecards and centralized storage of all documents, update documents as new methods are discovered
  • Lead change management when implementing a new concept to our 3Pls and other RDCs

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, information technology, Industrial Engineering, or related degree
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred

Job specific requirements:

  • 6+ years in operations management, 3PL a plus
  • Experience in fast moving consumer goods
  • Experience facilitation and teaching lean preferred
  • Effective communication, presentation skills and leadership skills
  • Experience in project management

Travel requirements: 30%

Work schedule: Monday through Friday

The base salary range for this position is $106,300 to $146,200; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
