As a Deli Manager, no one day is ever the same. You are someone who can display exceptional customer service skills, be knowledgeable of our deli meats, cheeses, salads, sandwiches, dips, gourmet, and hot case items and prepare delicious foods that will keep our customers returning to the store. Main responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide high-quality service, resolve customer issues, and create a welcoming experience.
- Staff Supervision: Train, schedule, and supervise deli employees to ensure optimal staffing.
- Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory, order supplies, and monitor store portal and mailbox.
- Food Preparation: Prepare hot and cold deli food, seasonal trays, and display items in deli cases.
- Sales Promotion: Inform customers about deli products, provide samples, and promote sales.
- Equipment Operation: Operate slicers, food preparation equipment, and electronic cash register.
- Order Handling: Greet customers, take orders in person and over the phone, and handle payments accurately.
- Stock Management: Inventory stock, restock shelves, and move bulk products to storage areas.
- Compliance: Maintain area cleanliness, adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, and perform temperature checks.
- Uniform Policy: Adhere to company uniform and grooming standards.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to follow company procedures and demonstrate prior customer service experience.
- Professional Interaction: Ability to interact professionally with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Basic Skills: Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and communicate in English.
- Task Completion: Ability to complete tasks within the expected time frame and follow instructions.
- Knowledge and Decision Making: Knowledge of products, pricing, sales reports, and department layout; ability to make quality decisions with minimal supervision.
- Multitasking and Stress Management: Ability to multitask while working under stress and time constraints.
- Shift Flexibility: Ability to work varied shifts over a 24-hour operation.
- Compliance: Must pass food safety tests and other required tests; adhere to company uniform policy.
- Equipment Operation: Must be 18 years old and able to operate all deli department equipment.
- Report Management: Ability to analyze reports and give/receive directions.
