Job Summary

The Director of Organizational Effectiveness provides strategic leadership to ensure the successful implementation of the district's strategic plan and key initiatives. This role establishes and oversees standardized design and implementation protocols for strategic initiatives, ensuring consistent and effective implementation practices while monitoring outcomes to drive continuous improvement. Additionally, the Director assesses project teams' needs for professional development, equipping them with the skills and strategies needed to accelerate progress and achieve measurable results.

What you will do
  • Develop and maintain a heat map of all district strategic initiatives, including determining effective implementation and outcome metrics for each. Monitor where each initiative is in a design framework process and offer supports and improvements where needed.
  • Build the MNPS Strategic Initiatives Playbook, defining the standard design protocol each district initiative should proceed through in alignment with best practices in design thinking, to clarify standard implementation expectations for all teams.
  • Collaborate with key cross functional departments (e.g., Superintendent’s Office, Chief of Staff, Data and Evaluation, Professional Development, etc.) to ensure effective collaboration and alignment in data tracking and program effectiveness.
  • Serve as lead point of contact between Strategy and research practice partners, external evaluators, etc. to ensure research and assessments projects are designed with continuous improvement and increased organizational effectiveness in mind.
  • Develop and implement professional development to accelerate district-wide performance improvement in strategic planning, implementation, and organizational effectiveness, including an “implementation bootcamp” to accelerate effectiveness for district leadership with managerial responsibilities.
  • Leverage performance management platforms to track program effectiveness and implementation and drive cycles of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee regular strategic planning reviews, including stock takes of signature initiatives, leading with a continuous improvement mindset to ensure all systems and structures increase organizational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a department leader in the Strategy Division, owning and facilitating meeting within and across department leadership.
  • With finance leadership, assess ROI of strategic initiatives and bring recommendations to district leadership to ensure effective use of resources to accelerate outcomes.
Education Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in education, public administration, policy, economics, or a related field Preferred
Experience Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience, with evidence of increasing supervisory responsibility, overseeing work in strategic planning, performance management, and/ or data analytics Required
Equivalency
Starting At: $112,735.07

Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
