- Assists with patient care including obtaining and recording vital signs, maintaining patient documentation, and completing administrative duties.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and staff.
- Fields patient phone calls promptly and professionally. Engages in patient communication, education, and support as directed by the healthcare provider or provider team.
- Participates in maintaining the therapeutic setting of the clinical space.
- Ensures cleanliness, adequate stock of supplies and functioning equipment in patient care areas. Replaces supplies depleted on a daily basis. Cleans and prepares patient care areas, equipment and tools. Completes shift opening and closing procedures.
- Follows established departmental policies and procedures, OSHA Rules and Regulations, environmental and infection control standards.
- Ensures compliance with local, internal, state, federal, and regulatory standards and compliance including quality assurance, safety, infection control, and environmental procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be HIPAA compliant.
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience of direct patient care or community behavioral health experience or successful completion of Vail Health’s Behavioral Health Technician competencies required
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred
- N/A
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification from Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or Therapeutic Options™ training preferred
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc
- High-school diploma or GED required.

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.
