Are you passionate about fitness and dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults? Holland Home is seeking a dynamic Fitness Coordinator to lead engaging fitness programs in our vibrant senior living community. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to create a welcoming environment that inspires residents to embrace a healthier lifestyle, all while building meaningful relationships that enrich their daily experiences.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging group fitness classes tailored to the interests and needs of residents in Independent Living at Holland Home.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all fitness levels, encouraging active participation in the fitness center and classes.
  • Promote the use of fitness equipment and facilitate equipment orientations.
  • Monitor and maintain exercise equipment.
  • Recommend new exercise equipment to enhance program offerings and activities.
  • Build lasting relationships with residents and their families, addressing and handling any resident/ family concerns.

Employment Type: per diem/as needed

 

Schedule:

·         Pick up as needed on weekdays between 8am – 2pm

 

Compensation: Hourly rate ranges from $18.55 - $21.24 (based on relevant experience)

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or a related field
  • Personal training and/or group exercise experience
  • Experience working with older adults; strong ability to engage with older adults and foster meaningful relationships
  • Proof of a valid Michigan driver’s license and vehicle liability insurance 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff, residents, and families, demonstrating courtesy and respect
  • Proficient written communication skills for maintaining necessary documentation
