SUMMARY:
The Billing Manager will be in charge of overseeing the system and processes concerned with billing at this Armstrong agency. Primary duties to include handling the receivable accounts to ensure smooth cash flow, assess the validity of bills, provide corrective measures when necessary, revenue accounting and calculating commissions, and ensure daily paperwork and billing is completed and accurate. It is essential for the billing manager to reach all daily and monthly targets and deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rate move files to ensure all services are invoiced accurately.
- Post revenue to company general ledger, set up vendor bills for payment, and pay commissioned salespeople and contracted owner-operators.
- Create and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.
- Maintain billing workflows to account for all jobs.
- Adhere to established department processes to ensure efficiency.
- Interact with other agents to receive invoices and resolve billing issues.
- Utilize internal software such as NetSuite ERP.
- File and Receivable reconciliations
- Auditing of payment received
- Assisting Controller with other accounting related duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-year college degree, preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze and process complex data sets and forms accurately.
- Strong comfort level with navigating multiple applications and systems.
- High-level ability and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Billing and rating experience in the transportation industry is desirable.
- General accounting experience is desirable.
