Maintenance Technicians work three or four 12-hour shifts each week. Rotating every 8 weeks from days / night (7am - 7pm) and (7pm - 7am)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate Drylock Core Values: Safety, Respect, Ownership
- Follows all safety regulations.
- Follows all quality standards and good manufacturing standards.
- Be present at crossover at the beginning and end of every shift. Crossover any repairs done on shift and any ongoing issues.
- Perform Toolbox Audits at beginning and end of shift with toolbox partners.
- Review and use Microsoft Office tools for any communications or assignments.
- Respond to any calls over the radio for support.
- Perform preventative maintenance procedures on mechanical and electrical systems as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform predictive machine maintenance as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform repairs on mechanical equipment such as conveyors systems, pneumatic equipment, industrial fans, etc. as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or by competent authority.
- Perform troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems.
- Drive forklifts or scissor lifts.
- Read and understand OEM mechanical documentation.
- Fill out parts request forms to order parts.
- Assist operations in changing out large equipment during changeover.
- Responsible for the powering down/powering up of machinery.
- Input notes of work performed on machinery in the line report.
- Complete/create WOs in the WO system.
- Assist with project work as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or competent authority.
- Emergency Response Team Member.
- Perform running line inspections.
- Notify competent authority during equipment outages.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years consecutive employment with 1 employer
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2-year technical degree preferred
- Score a minimum of 70% on the Bennett Mechanical Aptitude assessment
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in a manufacturing setting.
- Must be able to read and interpret work documents.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
- Must have the ability to perform basic math.
- Must have the ability to adapt to frequent changes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in pneumatics, electrical and mechanical equipment.
- High-energy and commitment to high performance in a fast pace multi-task work environment.
- Good record keeping
- Ability to use shop equipment (lathe, drill press, mill, etc.) is preferred.
- Ability to understand PLCs and controls is preferred.
- Be able to read and use mechanical tools such as: caliper, micrometer, etc.
- Be able to read blueprints and schematics.
- Be able to use electrical instruments as: multimeter, megger, etc.
- Welding and Auto-cad is a plus.
- Must be able to work rotating work schedule and overtime or on a different shift if required.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Basic computer knowledge and Microsoft Office applications.

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements:
- Hearing protection must be worn at all times.
- Cut resistant gloves when using cutting tools.
- FR uniforms worn at all times.
- Steel toe boots/shoes at all times.
- Eye protection must be worn when working with compressed air.
Work Environment:
- Work is performed primarily in an industrial environment.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
