Our private practice, located in Greenville, NC, is multi-specialty with numerous offices located in and around the area. In addition to cardiology, we offer primary care, pulmonary, rheumatology, urgent care, dermatology, oncology/hematology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, obstetrics and gynecology, and surgery. Our 100+ providers and 600 employees provide services for thousands of patients in a 29-county region of eastern North Carolina.
Full-time role based at our main Arlington campus. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8a.m. – 5 p.m. Travel to other locations as needed. Extended hours, including nights and weekends, may be required for meetings and to ensure duties are complete.
Supervision Exercised: Nursing and clinical staff.
Typical Physical Demands: Requires standing and/or sitting for long periods of time while working in a clinical or office environment. Some bending and stretching required. Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to work under stress and use of telephone required. Manual dexterity is required for the use of various office machines.

About the role
A Director of Clinical Services, or Clinical Director, oversees the nursing and clinical staff and overall nursing operations of the healthcare facility. Duties include establishing goals for the clinical department and creating and enforcing compliant healthcare policies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams to deliver high-quality patient care. They will have the ability to monitor the pulse of the clinical staff to improve workflows while improving patient care, maximize efficiencies, and reduce turnover. The candidate will have a passion for the development of people, processes, and services focusing on all aspects of the clinical services of the practice. They will have a strong understanding of regulatory policies and procedures and be able to ensure compliance throughout the organization. They should identify as a Change Leader.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) strongly preferred.
- Licensure: Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Significant experience (5-10 years) in a private practice setting, with distinguishable prior leadership roles.
- Proven experience (5+ years) leading, motivating and managing mid to large cohort of healthcare professionals with diverse educational backgrounds.
- Advanced problem solving & high-level methodical decision-making at an enterprise level with proven results identifying and resolving complex challenges effectively and efficiently.
- Financial management experience related to budget management and resource allocation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Deep understanding of nursing practice standards, healthcare regulations, quality improvement methodologies, and patient care principles.
- Ability to operate computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
