SEWS—El Paso Customer Service Center (Eastside).Although located at SEWS – El Paso Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least two days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.
Job Title: Cost Accountant
To maintain and implement cost accounting methods and related general ledger activities across products and divisions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with standard cost data for various reports to operations and management. Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of inventory transactions in cost system Determine, validate, and explain variance calculations. (PPV, OMV & Mfg)
Monitor inventory movement issues and provide guidance to Mexico/US plants and warehouses in their controlling of inventories. Attend meetings to resolve inventory issues.
Participate in the Physical inventory process. Summarize and report physical inventory results.
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
Reconciliation of accounts.
Provide information for external audit requests.
Projects and improvement activities as required.
Qualifications:
BS Degree with 1-3 years professional experience preferably
1 year in cost accounting. Excellent working knowledge of excel.
Must understand and be able to implement costing concepts.
Excellent attention to detail.
Effective communication in English and Spanish, including writing, speaking and active listening.
Collaboration and teamwork.
