At SellerX, we’re strengthening our People team and looking for an International Payroll Partner (x/f/m) who thrives in complexity, takes ownership, and ensures compliant, accurate, and seamless payroll across borders. You’ll play a pivotal role in our payroll operations—primarily for Germany and the US—while also contributing to broader People Operations initiatives across our global organization. We’re seeking someone with deep hands-on payroll expertise, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset who loves working collaboratively and independently.

In detail, you will be hands-on with:

• Preparing, auditing, and owning payroll cycles across Europe and the US in close collaboration with external providers — ensuring compliant, timely, and accurate execution

• Acting as the go-to person for payroll — resolving discrepancies, answering employee queries, and maintaining compliance with local regulations

• Keeping ahead of regulatory and legislative changes that impact payroll operations across different jurisdictions

• Driving operational HR processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, contract/status changes, internal transfers) with consistency and structure

• Maintaining and improving our HRIS (HiBob) — ensuring data accuracy and enabling scalable operations

• Managing our HR support channel (Asana) — responding to employee requests with clarity, empathy, and speed

• Partnering closely with Finance on payroll reconciliations, reporting, and cross-functional projects

• Collaborating with Legal, IT, and the wider People team to ensure smooth operations — no silos, just shared outcomes

Requirements to thrive in your new role:

• Hands-on international payroll experience — covering multiple European countries and the US

• German payroll experience is a must; US payroll experience is a strong plus

• Experience migrating payroll to a unified international external provider is a plus

• Fluency in German (C1) and English (C1), both written and spoken

• Strong Excel skills — you’re comfortable auditing and analyzing data with precision

• HR systems experience (HiBob preferred) and a process-minded, tech-savvy approach

• A proactive, accountable, and independent work style — you own outcomes, not just tasks

• Excellent communication skills with a service-oriented mindset
